Gyrfalcon

Rare piece of taxidermy made according the current taxidermy standards. The bird is treated against insect damage and has a closed footring.

The gyrfalcon, the largest of the falcon species, is a bird of prey. It breeds on Arctic coasts and tundra, and the islands of northern North America and the Eurosiberian region. This beautiful specimen was used for hunting.
