Crimson rosella on a black metal base

Real stuffed crimson rosella on a black metal base. Rare piece of taxidermy made according the current taxidermy standards. The bird (38 cm) is treated against insect damage and has a closed footring.

The crimson rosella (Platycercus elegans) is a parrot native to eastern and south eastern Australia. Crimson rosellas forage in trees, bushes, and on the ground for fruit, seeds, nectar, berries, and nuts of a wide variety of plants.
